Never impressed with the sports bar, but decided to give the grill room a shot. Stood by the "please wait to be seated sign" for 10 minutes while staff kept running by me avoiding eye contact with me. Finally decided to ask for the manager as I felt like he needed to know about his staff issues & quickly found out HE is the problem! Non-apologetic, said "yeah, I saw you standing there too & thought you were waiting for the bathroom". No "I'm so sorry" or "let me make this right". Just "get her a table". My dinner companions arrived as I was being shown to our table & suggested we leave....They were afraid we would probably be served a meal with a lot of spit in it. lol. Customer service starts & ends with the management of a company & this one is sorely lacking. Will never go there again....too many options in this town to put up with that
Not a way to keep customers who come faithfully during football season.
A patron who was also watching football outside approached the drunk and the drunk immediately started threatening to knock the patron out and proceeded to call him gay slurs and then threatened to rip the earring out of the patron’s ear.
The drunk proceeded to follow the patron back to his table where he was seated with several women and continued threatening to knock out the patron while showering him with numerous gay slurs and other obscenities.
Thumbs down for this place.
We ate lunch here...chili was so-so. Wait staff was terrific... Cowboy burger is awesome...
Doubt very seriously I will ever return to this establishment especially having seen one server and the hostess who both disappeared inside when the drunk had started his screaming and threatening of the patron.
On Sunday September 17, 2017 at approximately 2:30PM while watching a football game on the patio at Norma jeans Sports Bar while visiting Venice Florida our table had watched a drunken Forrest Gump/Elmer Fudd type of individual staggering in and out of the bar on three different occasions who then suddenly disappeared.
I can't remember posting a negative review but...
A few moments later a woman and child who were in the nearby laundromat appeared and retrieved the drunk from the dollar store next door and the drunk began screaming and cursing at the woman and threatened to knock her out if she didn’t leave.
A sports bar that asks a customer...who had ordered food...to leave the bar because he was not drinking alcohol was wrong! We were sitting next to this gentleman, who was alone. There are legitimate reasons who someone does not consume alcohol and this gentleman did not want to take up a table better utilized by a group.
The woman who had come with the child to retrieve the drunken individual started screaming at the patron to leave her husband alone as he was a sick man and the patron must have realized he was dealing with an abused woman and child at this time and removed himself back to his table.
Ordered a simple honey barbeque boneless wings, food was hardly warm , wings were so hard I couldn't cut them with a knife let alone eat them. The mozerella sticks we ordered as an appetizer came after our food. So I paid 50.00 for 2 wing baskets w fries that we couldn't eat, mozerella sticks were Luke warm and a sweet tea . Don't waste your time or money
While all this was happening it appeared as though the patron picked up a glass and was preparing to hit the drunk with it to defend both himself and the party that he was with as at least 20 other patrons just sat there and watched offering no help or support to this patron.
After a few minutes the drunk, woman and child walked away towards the laundromat with the drunk continuing to scream threats and gay slurs at the patron who had initially came to the aid of the drunk’s wife and child.
