These hotel rooms are DISGUSTING! The first room my family was in seemed nice at first but then noticed roaches in the bathroom and mold on the ceiling above the tub, when I called they came to spray and then moved me. The second room I was in had a gray ring of scum in the tub and had a terrible musty smell, also had the same staining on the ceiling above the tub. I'm assuming they've had water damage and just painted over it. The front desk and housekeepers are nice but this hotel is disgusting! Believe it or not I was better off at Motel 6! I was on the second floor. Maybe the other floors are nicer?
Great staff. Friendly atmosphere. Clean rooms. Free hot breakfast. Oven baked chocolate chip cookies in the evening.
The employees that work at this hotel are amazing and nice. So i will definitely will stay here again.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I booked a room here on Saturday before Irma. The guy took my money and asked to to sign agreeing to checkout the day of the storm. I reminded him that we needed two nights. He said he would work with the manager to fix the booking. Not wanting to be difficult, I agreed to call in the morning to extend the dates. I called in the morning, a new guy was at the front desk. I think his name was Rusty. He said he wasn't sure if I could extend it. Next thing I know room service tries to get in the room. I declined service. Then Rusty calls me back saying he would call the cops if I didn't leave immediately. It was 11:20. I knew the cops had bigger fish to fry but I decided I did not want to give them one more fine of my money. What made me different from everyone else is that I am Black. He valued me and my business less than others. The customer service people were terrible too. It was like pulling teeth to get the customer service person to find us another room elsewhere. They were perfectly fine putting me and my minor child and puppy out in the streets during an impending natural disaster. I was shocked at his callousness. They will never get my business again.
I spent three days in Venice, Florida with my family and my last night was at Holiday inn Express. The place was in the middle of building improvements, therefore the outside mostly was dusty from the construction. The building is clearly older than Fairfield inn from across the street, where I spent my first two nights. The room furniture and fixtures were showing their age but were clean. Technology is not like the competition but it's satisfying. My night was quiet and breakfast served on time and plentiful. This would not be my first choice if I were to come back but I would still consider this hotel. Great staff and good prices.
