We like eating here. It's cheap and food is good. Only issue is you can't eat indoors.
If you want quick greasy food then this is for you. An ice cream cone or a shake? Good place for that. Unfortunately checker's quality has dropped significantly over the past 10 years. I used to look for to stopping here on my visits to Florida as we didn't have them up north and the food was good however now it hasn't been worth even going to since living here for the past 5 years for food because it's greasy and just pulling into the parking lot one can smell the grease throughout the air from the vents in the restaurant. I just went there and it was for two things only. An ice cream cone and a shake for a low price and then out of there quickly due to the nasty grease odor throughout the seating area.
This place was horrible! My boyfriend and I went for what we thought was going to be a quick trip to Checkers... we ended up waiting on our food for almost 40 minutes! On top of waiting 40 minutes, they also forgot 2 items we had purchased so had to wait an additional 5 min to get those 2 extra items. I could have eaten at a sit down restaurant in the time it took us to get our order.
Have eaten here multiple times. In general I don't eat fast food but when I do this is where I like to go. Make no mistake, this stuff isn't healthy, but we know that when we eat any fast food. This is the best as far as fast food goes.
It took 15 minutes to get a cold hamburger. Hadn't been there in a long time, but won't be going back. The people were nice though
