First Baptist Church of Venice has been our home church for about 4 years now. We bounced around from place to place when we first moved here trying to plant our feet somewhere that we felt suited us as a family. Pastor Tom brings the sermon to life and rolls his message into real life occurrences so that you can take what you were filled with and apply it to your life once the week starts back up! The Children's ministry at First Baptist as well as the Youth Group programs are unique and always planning something special for the kids. Sunday's are wonderful as you can drop your children off and know that they will have fun, be with friends and kind teachers, and fill their spiritual cup. In this day in age, our kids need it the most. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the dress is casual or dress, whichever you prefer, they welcome you just the same. Being a part of this church family has done wonders for our family. I encourage anyone searching for a home church to give this church a visit and let God work in your lives!
When I first moved to Venice 5 years ago I came to the church office seeking help and none was offered or given, not even prayer. I would never recommend this church to anyone. Since then God has truly helped me, but not through any there. Helping the least of these is doing unto God.
My wife and I are visiting from Connecticut. We stopped in for Sunday worship. The people were very friendly and welcoming, The music was amazing and the sermon inspiring. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday church experience.
I Love this church. ! I was diagnosed with kidney failure and called for prayer yet noone ever called me back. I called twice. I haven't been back since but I still stream you. Hope everyone is doing well. When I get some energy I will be back , your sister Rena.
