Brohard Park is the same as saying Shark Beach. It is a very nice beach to relax at. It is also right by the Venice Beach Fishing Pier and Sharkeys restaurant. This is my families favorite beach to come to when we are in Tampa. It seems far less crowded than most beached.

Parking is free and plentiful. We wish they had a better changing room situation. All they have is the public restrooms, which are rather dirty and crowded. There is nowhere to change so you have to use a dirty bathroom stall which is kind of gross. Other beaches up the coast have nice public changing rooms.

Nice beach with a coarser black/gray sand. Not as nice as Siesta Key but much less crowded.
